THIS WEEKEND :: Minneapolis Indie Expo!

Raise high the roof beams, Dharbenters! Tomorrow I'm off via the modern terrifying miracle of air travel, to one half of the Twin Cities for the Minneapolis Indie Expo. This is my first time ever at the show, which I guess distressingly might not happen next year. Organizer Sarah Morean is overworked, which comes as no surprise, since she has really done a peerless job of setting the show up. The show's website is pretty much perfect, in that it not only contains stuff like exhibitor lists, locations, etc., but has lots of info and recommendations on travel and hotels, press materials, images to download to help promote, etc. People don't realize what a stressful, exhausting, and often demoralizing job organizing a convention can be. But I do! I'm excited for the show, and to visit Minneapolis for the first time, and to convince Sarah to keep doing it in the future. I'm an optimist! If you're going to be in that area, I hope you'll come by and say hello to me and Annie Koyama and Rina Ayuyang. We'll be at Table 92, right next to AdHouse Books and Jim Rugg. All smiles, all for you! I'll have my new prints, plus my old books, plus all my originals, plus all my love! See you there!
